ARRANGEMENTS MADE FOR THE SMOOTH AND FAIR CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS TO TSLA 2023
Ambar Kishor Jha, Warangal Police Commissioner has held a press meet at his office regarding the ensuing elections and has stated that, in order to conduct TSLA elections being held on 30th of this month, in a smooth and fair manner, all elaborate arrangements have been made.
With an intention of people not facing any difficulties during elections, a fool proof planning regarding the security has been made. Especially, people in order to feel safe during the voting process, a peaceful atmosphere have been created.
All necessary arrangements have been made for conducting elections in (8) Assembly Constituencies pertaining to Warangal Commissionerate and also in few partial Assembly Constituencies viz., Husnabad, Huzurabad and Bhupalpally pertaining to other units.
Problematic areas have been already identified and huge Police bandobust have been arranged in those areas. Total (2126) Polling Stations in (1128) Polling Locations have been set up in the Assembly Constituencies of Warangal East, Warangal West, Wardhannapet, Parkal, Jangaon, Palakurthy, Narsampet and Station Ghanpur, pertaining to Warangal Commissionerate.
The Police force consisting of (4000) members from the rank of Home Guard to DCP have been deployed for performing the duties. Apart from this, (1700) Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF have also been performing their duties. Further, Patrolling parties, Quick Reaction Teams (QRTS), Striking Force, Special Striking Force, have also been deployed for effective implementation of Model Code of Conduct.
Since the date of election code came into existence to till date, a total of Rs. 12,33,00,000 (Twelve Crores & 33 lakhs) has been seized by Police, during vehicle checking's in the limits of Warangal Police Commissionerate. In addition to his, liquor/gudumba W/Rs.55 lakhs, 500 Kgs of black jiggery/Alum W/Rs.10 akhs, ganja weighing 667 Kgs W/Rs.1 crore 64 lakhs, 6% Kgs of gold, 1% Kg silver, Rs.13 lakhs worth of freebies for distributing to voters, have been seized. In this regard, (842) cases have been reported. Further, as part of maintenance of Law & Order, (7842) persons have been bound over including (579) rowdy sheeters.
In order to maintain public order and peace during elections, notification.
have been issued imposing Section 144 Cr.PC in the limits of Warangal Police
Commissionerate, prohibiting assembly of five or more persons and holding
of public meetings, in the entire limits of Warangal Police Commissionerate
from 1700 hours on 28.11.2023 to 0600 hours on 30.11.2023.
Further, notification has also been issued for closure of liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and other establishments selling/serving liquor,
situated within the limits of Warangal Police Commissionerate, during the said period.
Warangal Police Commissioner has advised the voters to cast their vote
without fear and without getting induced and not to violate Model Code ofConduct. If anyone violates the same, necessary legal action will be initiatedagainst them.
