In a momentous collaboration, the Technical Club (TC) under the Student Activity Center (SAC) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal (KITSW), joined hands with the Institutions Innovation Council, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India to organize an insightful "IDEATHON" for B.Tech. students. The event, held at the prestigious New Seminar Hall on the KITSW campus, aimed to foster technical skills for innovation and elevate students to become technologically superior and ethically strong.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy emphasized the primary objective of IDEATHON – cultivating innovation. He highlighted the institute's focus on Innovation, Incubation, and Creation, encouraging every student to achieve a unique skill set. Prof. Reddy emphasized that ideas are the genesis of everything and play a crucial role in shaping successful, industry-ready engineers.
The inaugural ceremony on January 6, 2024, witnessed the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Prof. Anjaneyulu, Professor in the Department of ECE at NIT Warangal. The ceremony was graced by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment of knowledge. Prof. Anjaneyulu lauded the technical platform provided by IDEATHON, enabling students to pitch innovative ideas capable of addressing society's most complex problems. He urged students to analyze and evaluate current issues, fostering a mindset that leads to the creation of impactful startups.
The event drew active participation from students, who passionately presented their innovative ideas to a distinguished jury. Prof. Anjaneyulu stressed that ideas, when aligned with the needs of the common man, persist forever. Encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving, he emphasized the significance of these skills in shaping successful entrepreneurs.
The inaugural function was attended by Dean Student Affairs Prof. V. Shankar, Associate Dean Student Affairs M. Narsimha Rao, Faculty Coordinator Dr. B. Vijay Kumar (Faculty Incharge for Technical Club), and Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary. Deans, HoDs, and esteemed jury members, including Dr. D. Kumar, IIC Member Drithi, and Technical Club General Secretary B. Badri Narayan, graced the occasion. Student representatives Zaid, Sathwik, Nithish, Rishith, Shashi, Varshitha, Sneha, Advik, Akshay, and a total of 110 student participants were actively present, contributing to the success of IDEATHON.
