In a spectacular showcase of innovation and skill development, the highly anticipated national-level student technical symposium, "SUMSHODHINI'23," was inaugurated at the KITS Warangal Campus. The event witnessed an inspiring ceremony attended by esteemed guests and dignitaries.


Headlining the event was Smt. G. Vijaya Durga, Scientist G at Hyderabad DRDO, Research Centre Imarat, who described the symposium as "Inspiring, Innovative, and Upskilling."


The grand inauguration ceremony, jointly organized by the ISTE Student Chapter and Technical Club at SAC KITS Warangal, was officially announced by the Principal, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.


The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) KITSW student chapter, in collaboration with the Technical Club and Student Activity Center (SAC) across all nine departments, played a pivotal role in orchestrating this national-level extravaganza, held at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall on the KITS Warangal campus.


The inauguration, graced by the chief guest Smt. G. Vijaya Durga and guest of honor S. Gopikrishna, a proud alumnus of KITSW and Scientist F at Hyderabad DRDO, was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The event spans two days, from February 2nd to 3rd, 2024.


During the ceremony, former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, and Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy extended their congratulations for the resounding success of the national tech fest, SUMSHODHINI'23.


Smt. G. Vijaya Durga, in her address, emphasized the importance of skill development, coding, high-level synthesis, and the utilization of online tools for budding engineers. She commended the management for supporting innovation and fostering the growth of future leaders in technology.


S. Gopikrishna, the guest of honor, highlighted the significance of positivity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills for students. He stressed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in various domains and encouraged students to think innovatively and embrace a 'never say die' attitude.



Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, the Principal of KITSW, revealed that the theme of SUMSHODHINI'23 is "Nexus of Innovation Igniting Minds." The symposium aims to provide a platform for technical presentations, workshops, and events across nine engineering departments.


The fest convener, Prof. V. Shankar, shared that the symposium attracted 3500 participants, including 1500 from different parts of the country. The technical events and workshops cover a wide array of topics, fostering a startup culture among the student community.


In his presidential remarks, KITSW Governing Body Member, K. Devi Prasad, highlighted the importance of such national platforms for sharing and learning about the latest technologies.


The event also saw the participation of numerous dignitaries, including KITSW Governing Body Member Sri E. Venkatram Reddy, Administrative Committee Member Dr. V. Pavan, Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, and various deans, HODs, and faculty coordinators.
