Warangal, July 15,2024:In a generous act of support, the Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal Alumni Association (KITSWAA) Class of 1982-86 donated 2 lakh rupees to Namratha, a B. Tech. 2nd-year student. The donation ceremony took place on July 15, 2024, in the Committee Hall at the KITS Warangal campus.
The cheque was presented to Namratha, who is studying in the ECI branch. Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy noted that Namratha's parents face economic challenges, making it difficult for them to afford her tuition fees. Prof. Reddy encouraged Namratha to focus on self-esteem, skill development, and innovation. He highlighted the institute's commitment to student development through workshops, conferences, and guest lectures, supported by alumni.
The KITS Warangal Alumni Class of 1982-86 emphasized the importance of positivity, hard work, humility, and kindness for current students to achieve success. They believe their contributions help bridge the gap between the institute and industry, enhancing job placements.
Rajya Sabha former MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, Husnabad constituency former MLA and KITSW management member V. Sathish Kumar, along with other management members E. Venkataram Reddy and A. Harish, congratulated the alumni for their support. They also gave special appreciation to the Class of 1982-86 for their efforts in keeping the KITSW flag flying high.
The event was attended by Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. K. Venumadhav, Head of the ECI Department Prof. K. Shivani, Head of the Physical Sciences Department and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, along with other faculty and staff members.
