“Fill a Plate, Share a Smile” – Humanity Club Initiative at KITS Warangal
Warangal, October 11, 2025:
The Humanity Club of the Students Activity Center (SAC), Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), organized a food donation drive titled “Fill a Plate, Share a Smile.”
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said the program was aimed at supporting people in need and promoting the value of sharing among students. The event was sponsored by P. Krishna Reddy, Sub-Inspector of Police, and E. Ramesh, real estate businessman from Hanamkonda.
As part of the initiative, the club members distributed food packets to the poor in Hanamkonda, Kazipet, and Warangal. The drive focused on raising awareness about hunger and the importance of social responsibility.
Dean, Student Affairs & Professor of EIE, Dr. M. Sreelatha, appreciated the students’ efforts and said the program shows how young people can take the lead in community service. She emphasized that educational institutions can play a key role in guiding students toward social responsibility.
The event was attended by Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Associate Professor of Chemistry & PRO (PMC); Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, Incharge of the Humanity Club; faculty members; and volunteers.
Student leaders of the Humanity Club who coordinated the event include P. Vaishnavi Reddy (President), A. Vivek Reddy (Vice President), T. Akshith Patel, Mohammad Sameed, and B. Tharun (Joint Secretaries). About 100 student volunteers participated in food preparation, packing, and distribution activities.
The initiative highlighted the importance of empathy and community service — reflecting the club’s motto of spreading happiness, one plate at a time.
