KITS Warangal Organizes “Strong Minds – Strong Women” Awareness Program
Warangal, February 6, 2026:
The Women Empowerment Cell of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) organized an awareness program titled “Strong Minds – Strong Women” along with the poster launch for the Academic Year 2025–2026 on the college campus on Friday.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Ms. Swapna Sriramula, Counselling Psychologist and Behavioral Skills Trainer, and Director of Parikshkara Counselling and Guidance Center, in association with Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Dean (Academic Affairs) Prof. K. Venu Madhav, and other faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said that the program aimed to create awareness on women empowerment and mental health, reflecting the institution’s commitment to the holistic development of women students. He emphasized that such initiatives help in nurturing leadership skills, emotional balance, self-confidence, and decision-making abilities among young women.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Swapna Sriramula highlighted the importance of mental strength, resilience, self-confidence, and leadership qualities among women. Through practical examples, she encouraged students to invest their time in acquiring meaningful competencies and life skills.
“A strong woman stands up for herself, but a stronger woman stands up for everyone else,” she said, stressing that self-motivation is the key to success.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof. K. Venu Madhav, along with faculty members and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, appreciated the efforts of the Women Empowerment Cell in organizing such impactful programs.
The Women Empowerment Cell is headed by Dr. K. Sowjanya, Assistant Professor, ECED, as Chairperson, and Smt. V. Gouthami, Assistant Professor, CSED, as Convenor. Executive members include Smt. K. Santosh Bhargavi, Dr. B. Danalaxmi, Dr. Asmathunnisa Begum, Dr. N. Gayathri, Dr. S. Sarika, Dr. D. Preveena, Dr. K. Shailaja, Smt. M. Shirisha, Dr. M. Sujatha, Smt. M. Swetha Rani, Smt. T. Veenraj, and Smt. A. Swathi.
Student coordinators M. Smarana, A. Reethika Chowdary, A. Sreeshna, R. Sai Sanjana Reddy, J. Sreenidhi, A. Sai Chandana, K. Bhavya, A. Sreeja, K. Manogna, A. Nagadeepa, K. Komali, G. Jayarupa, U. Nikitha, B. Soumya Sri, S. Shruthi, U. Kaveri, K. Sahaswi, V. Suvarna Jyothi, B. Varshini, B. Deekshitha Reddy, V. Nandini, Vennela, and Hansika played an active role in organizing the event.
More than 200 girl students participated enthusiastically, making the program a grand success.
