Traffic Police Awareness Drive with Silencer Pylon in Warangal

Warangal traffic police have set up a unique pylon made from silencers removed from motorcycles, particularly Bullet bikes, that were found producing excessive noise. The initiative aims to create awareness among riders who modify their bikes to produce loud sounds and disturb the public.

The pylon, designed to resemble a rocket launch structure, was installed at the Warangal Police Commissionerate junction. It was inaugurated on Wednesday by Traffic ACP Satyanarayana, who warned that criminal action will be taken against those who modify their vehicle silencers.

According to the police, the silencers used in the pylon were seized during traffic checks in the Tri-City area of Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Kazipet. These were taken from vehicles that violated noise regulations.

Previously, seized silencers were destroyed using road rollers. This time, the police decided to use them for an awareness display to send a strong message to violators.

In 2024, traffic police in the Tri-City area seized a total of 1,246 modified silencers — 557 in Hanamkonda, 335 in Warangal, and 354 in Kazipet. Since the beginning of 2025, 592 silencers have been seized — 242 in Hanamkonda, 85 in Warangal, and 265 in Kazipet.

Hanamkonda Traffic Inspector Seetha Reddy also participated in the pylon inauguration program.
