*KITS Warangal Center for i2RE organised A Two Day workshop on IoT and Robotics*
The Centre for Innovation, Incubation, Research, and Entrepreneurship (C-i²RE) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) in collaboration with FoundersLab and Teckybot, successfully organized a two-day workshop on IoT and Robotics. The event saw active participation from over 100 students across various departments, reflecting the strong interest in emerging technologies said by the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy
On this occasion the The resource persons of the event Industry leaders, including Mr. Venkata Reddy, CEO of Teckybot, and Mr. Anji Reddy, Microsoft R&D Scientist & Space Scientist, Hyderabad highlighted that this two-day workshop, In day one of workshop introduction to IoT and Robotics, applications, theoretical insights were given to the students . Day 2 of the workshop was a hands-on practical session where the IoT workshop was about working with moisture sensors, LCD's Arduino UNO, Arduino IDE software and its daily life applications . In the Robotics workshop the students worked on building a moving four wheeler cart which detects obstacles with the use of ultrasonic sensor and control it's movement using bluetooth based phone controlling system , at the end of the session students engaged in a friendly competition between each other testing the efficiency, accuracy and speed of the four wheeler carts. Charan Tej studying Computer Science engineering (iot) currently in 1st year who attended the workshop as a very fun and exhilarating experience which taught him practical and daily life applications of IoT, Sanjana, currently in 2nd year of studying computer science engineering (AIML) attended the Robotics workshop shared her experience as a fruitful one where the practical knowledge acquired in the workshop to be useful for her future mini and major projects and shared it to be a fun experience to learn and build a four wheeler cart with her friends.
On this occasionthe Principal, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the pivotal role of IoT and Robotics in shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship. Industry leaders, including Mr. Venkata Reddy, CEO of Teckybot, and Mr. Anji Reddy, Microsoft R&D Scientist & Space Scientist, provided valuable insights into the latest trends and applications in these fields. Mentors from FoundersLab, Mr. Dhruti Das and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sahu, also shared their expertise, inspiring students to explore innovative solutions.
The workshop was a testament to C-i2RE’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship at KITSW. Special mention goes to the Student Alliance for Innovation and Leadership (SAiL), led by President S. Ridhima, for their vital role in organizing the session and introducing the clubs under SAiL, further enriching the students’ learning experience.
In this event Head of C-i2RE, Dr K. Rajanarendar Reddy, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, all the HoDs, all the deans, Associate professor of chemistry & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, SAIL student representatives, President S. Ridhima, 100 shortlisted students of 9 departments of our college have participated actively.
