Warangal, March 18, 2026: The valedictory ceremony of Model United Nations 9.0 (KITS MUN 2026) was held with enthusiasm at the Centre for i2RE, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW) campus on Wednesday.
Organized by the Literary & Extramural Club under the Student Activity Center (SAC), the three-day academic simulation of the United Nations provided a platform for students to represent different countries and deliberate on pressing global issues. The event aimed at enhancing leadership qualities, communication skills, critical thinking, and policy awareness among participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy stated that the MUN served as an excellent opportunity for students to understand international relations and governance while developing their analytical abilities.
The event was conducted from March 16 to 18, 2026, across multiple venues including the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall, New Seminar Hall, Civil Seminar Hall, and the auditorium on the campus. Around 350 students actively participated in various committees and discussions.
Former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Governing Body Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and former Husnabad MLA and Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and congratulated the students for successfully conducting the event.
The organizing committee was led by Secretary Generals Sriteja Paka and Shouryan Madatha, along with Director General A. Srihitha and other student coordinators who played key roles in the smooth execution of the event.
Dean of Student Affairs Prof. K. Sridhar, Faculty In-charge of the Literary Club Dr. W. Grace Shanthi, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, along with heads of departments, deans, and faculty members were present and extended their support, contributing to the grand success of the programme.
