Red Cross Representatives meets Governor at Lok Bhavan
Hyderabad, March 30, 2026:
The Governor of Telangana and President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State, Shiv Pratap Shukla, met district chairpersons of the Red Cross Society and members of the state governing body at Lok Bhavan on Monday.
During the meeting, Hanumakonda Indian Red Cross Society Chairman Dr. P. Vijayachander Reddy and state governing body member E. V. Srinivas Rao, along with other members, greeted the Governor. They presented the Red Cross Society Seven Principles Shield, a Bhadrakali shawl, and prasadam. They also handed over the Hanumakonda Red Cross AGM report and explained the service activities carried out at the state and district levels.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that the Red Cross Society has been providing valuable services so far and should aim for wider recognition at the national level. He discussed the strengthening of Junior and Youth Red Cross units and the functioning of blood centres. He stressed the need to ensure adequate blood supply during the summer season and advised the members to remain alert to natural disasters.
The Governor stated that he would extend support to help the Telangana Red Cross Society continue its service activities and work towards achieving a leading position in the country.
Those who attended the meeting included Dr. P. Vijayachander Reddy, E. V. Srinivas Rao, K. Prasad Rao, Mahender Reddy, Amarender Reddy, Ramesh Reddy, Madhusudan Reddy, Nataraj, Srinivas Rao, and others.
