Warangal:
The Staff Club of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS Warangal) organised the superannuation celebrations of Professor K. Sivani from the Department of Electronics, Communication and Instrumentation Engineering (ECIE). The event was held at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall on the campus, Principal K. Ashoka Reddy said.
Chairman and former Rajya Sabha MP V. Laxmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy and former MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar congratulated Professor Sivani for her service to the institution. Members of the management extended their wishes for her retirement.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Ashoka Reddy said that Professor Sivani served the institute for about 30 years in different roles. She worked as Dean of Student Affairs, Head of the ECI Department, Professor In-charge for SMCG, and also served as Principal in another private college.
He said she carried out every responsibility with commitment and discipline. He also mentioned her role as a teacher and administrator and wished her a peaceful and happy retired life.
Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Administrative Officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. S. Narsimha Reddy, Head of ECI Department Prof. M. Raghuram and several other faculty members attended the programme.
Staff Club President Prof. P. Niranjan, Secretary Dr. A. Harikumar, Treasurer Dr. M. Ranadheer Kumar, KITS Teachers Association President Prof. K. Sridhar and General Secretary Prof. Srikanth Pabba were also present.
Family members of Professor Sivani, including her brother Dr. K. Kiran Prasanna and her daughters Sahithi Chathanya and Sanskrithi Rahul, along with retired faculty, staff and students, participated in the event.
