KITSW Introduces Cyber Security and VLSI B.Tech. Programmes for 2026–27

Warangal, July 18: Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has introduced two new B.Tech. programmes for the 2026–27 academic year. The institute has also received approval for an additional section in the B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) programme.

KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said the institute has been sanctioned B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology), and an additional section for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science).

He said the new programmes have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Government of Telangana, allowing admissions from the 2026–27 academic year.

Former Husnabad MLA and KITSW Additional Secretary Shri Vodithala Satish Kumar said Cyber Security, VLSI Design and Data Science are among the growing technology fields driven by artificial intelligence and digital transformation. He said these programmes are expected to help students gain industry-relevant skills and improve their employment opportunities.

He added that the introduction of the new courses reflects the institute’s efforts to align its academic programmes with changing industry requirements.

KITSW Chairman and former Rajya Sabha MP Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao and Treasurer Shri P. Narayana Reddy congratulated the Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering departments on introducing the new programmes.

Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, deans, heads of departments, faculty members and staff attended the programme.
