KITS Warangal Holds Alumni Meet and Silver Jubilee Reunion for Class of 2001


Warangal, July 25, 2026:
The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Warangal Alumni Association (KITSWAA) organised the Alumni Meet and Silver Jubilee Reunion of the Class of 2001 at the NLR Shed Auditorium on the KITS Warangal campus on Saturday. The event was inaugurated by KITSWAA National Executive Council member Mamatha Kandi, Software QA Lead at Apple Inc., San Diego, USA, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Speaking at the programme, Mamatha Kandi said KITS Warangal has built a global alumni network of more than 28,000 graduates working in different countries and professional fields. She said the alumni community continues to support the institution by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, mentoring and industry collaboration.
She said the institute is focusing on skill development, internships, mentorship, employability and innovation to prepare students for changing industry requirements. She added that alumni play an important role in connecting students with industry professionals, new technologies and career opportunities.


She also said KITS Warangal is working to bridge the gap between industry and academia by equipping students with emerging technical skills, industry-oriented knowledge and innovation-based learning.
KITS Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said alumni have been extending valuable support to students through seminars, workshops, industrial visits, internships and startup initiatives. He said 161 alumni from the 2001 batch registered for the reunion, with participants attending from the United States, Australia, Singapore, Canada and different parts of India.
Former Husnabad MLA and KITS Management Member V. Sathish Kumar, who presided over the programme, described the 2001 batch as a “Gold Category Batch” for its continued association with the institution. He encouraged alumni to contribute to the development of current students by sharing professional experience, providing career guidance, mentoring and promoting ethical values.
During the programme, the 2001 alumni batch honoured current and retired faculty members with shawls and mementoes. Those felicitated included Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Administrative Officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, Prof. V. Ramaiah, Dr. M. Srikanth, Dr. M. Raghuram, Smt. R. Nirmal Devi, Prof. P. Niranjan Reddy, Sri S. Nagaraju, Dr. M. Narsimha Rao, Prof. P. Venugopal Rao, Prof. R. Ravinder Rao, Prof. Raji Reddy, Prof. Ramadevi of NIT Warangal and other senior faculty members.
Management representatives, alumni including D. Koti Reddy, Shireesha Rangaraju, Nageswar Rao K., Vamsee Krishna K. and Karunakar Rao A., Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. S. Narsimha Reddy, Alumni Affairs and External Relations Professor-in-Charge Dr. M. Srikanth, Faculty In-Charge Dr. O. Anjaneyulu, Associate Professor of Chemistry and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, faculty members, staff and more than 300 alumni from across the world attended the event.
