Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Speaks at Public Meeting in Kodangal
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the economic growth of any state depends on the well-being of girls. Speaking at a public meeting in Kodangal, he said the government is implementing several welfare schemes and development programs to ensure dignity and safety for women.
The Chief Minister said that the government has taken up the distribution of fine rice so that every poor mother can feed her children without worry. He added that gas cylinders are being provided for ₹500, and women are given free travel facility in RTC buses. “We have also made women owners of RTC buses,” he said.
Revanth Reddy said that the management of solar plants has been handed over to women to ensure financial independence. Stalls have been set up at Shilparamam, Hitec City, for women to market their products. Talks are in progress with Amazon to help women sell their products in international markets.
He emphasised that education is the only way to bring light into people’s lives. Under the Akshaya Patra initiative, breakfast is being provided to 28,000 students in 312 government schools of the constituency, ensuring no child suffers from hunger. A centralised kitchen system is being introduced for the mid-day meal scheme.
He said the government thinks about children just like a mother does and is committed to addressing their needs. Education and irrigation are the top priorities.
The Chief Minister listed the institutions brought to Kodangal, including medical, veterinary, agriculture, paramedical, nursing, engineering colleges, ATCs, integrated residential schools, junior and degree colleges, and a Sainik school. “Education is a permanent asset, and Kodangal is being developed as an education hub for the state,” he said. The goal is to develop Kodangal into an international-level education hub in 16 months.
Revanth Reddy said farmers are voluntarily giving land for the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project. The project will be completed in three years, bringing Krishna waters to the region. Lagacharala industrial area will be developed into an international industrial hub. He also announced that railway line works will begin in nine months, fulfilling a 70-year dream of Kodangal residents. Cement industries will also be established in the constituency.
He urged people to elect good candidates in the upcoming Sarpanch elections. He instructed officials to ensure Indiramma sarees reach every girl. He added that the Indiramma rule will continue in the state for the next ten years.
The Chief Minister appealed to people to rise above politics and support the development of Kodangal, especially seeking support from women for the region’s progress.
