Guest Lecture on Engineering Education in the 4th Industrial Revolution at KITS Warangal


Warangal, Aug 19:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML), Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Warangal (KITSW) organized a guest lecture on “Engineering Education in the 4th Industrial Revolution.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. T.V. Venkateshwaran, Former Scientist, Vigyan Prasar (DST-New Delhi) and Visiting Professor, IISER Mohali, according to Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.
KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao (Former Rajya Sabha Member), Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and Additional Secretary Vodithala Satish Kumar (Former MLA, Husnabad) congratulated the CSM department for conducting the session.


Dr. Venkateshwaran explained the progress of industrial revolutions from the 1800s to the 2000s with examples. He referred to Ellora caves as an illustration of India’s long-standing tradition in art, history, and religious harmony.

He also introduced the concept of the “Age of Abundance,” where advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automation can make goods and services affordable and accessible to all.


Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. K. Venumadhav, said the aim of the seminar is to prepare students with industry-ready skills in emerging technologies. The CSM department has been conducting workshops and seminars to promote innovation among students.
The event was attended by Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Head of CSM Prof. S. Narasimha Reddy, faculty coordinator I. Sai Rama Krishna, association in-charges B. Ramji and Dr. K. Shivakumar, student coordinators M. Shrijani and G. Gnanadeep, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, faculty members, and staff.
