KITS Warangal Conducts Photo Exhibition and Expert Talk on Photography Technology Skills

Warangal, April 21: Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, through its Photography & Media Club (PMC) and Student Activity Center (SAC), organized a photo exhibition and an expert talk on “Skills Involved in Photography Technology,” as informed by Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. The event was held at the Civil Seminar Hall, where photography students participated in interactive sessions.

The chief guest, Nageshwar Rao Indaram, founder and president of Orugallu Wildlife Society (OWLS), Warangal, interacted with students and spoke about various aspects of photography. He explained that photography is a form of expression that can convey powerful messages. He spoke about topics like wildlife and nature photography, portrait photography, the rule of thirds, memory management, exposure, symmetry, and patterns in images. He encouraged students to develop their skills and use the camera as a tool to explore the world around them. He also emphasized the importance of focus and attention while taking photographs.

Former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer  P. Narayana Reddy, and Former MLA of Husnabad constituency and KITSW Additional Secretary, Vodithala Sateesh Kumar, appreciated the efforts of the SAC and PMC teams for conducting this event to help students improve their practical knowledge in photography.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy shared that the institute has implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. As per government guidelines, students are required to take part in Society Empowerment Activities (SEA) and Self Accomplishment Activities as part of their B. Tech. curriculum. He added that the institute is committed to nurturing young minds and helping them build useful skills and a positive outlook.

The event was supported by Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. K. Venumadhav, Dean of Student Affairs Prof. M. Srilatha, Associate Dean M. Narsimha Rao, Faculty Coordinator and Chemistry Associate Professor & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Associate Professor of Physics Dr. Ch. Sateesh Chandra, and other faculty members. Over 60 students, including PMC student coordinator Kiril Moses and his team, took an active role in organizing and participating in the event.
