National Library Week Celebrations Inaugurated at KITS Warangal


The 58th National Library Week celebrations were formally inaugurated jointly by the Registrar Prof.. M. Komal Reddy, Dean Academic & Professor, Dr. K. Venumadhav, and Librarian Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal, Central Library.
Marking the beginning of the week-long programme, the dignitaries addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of National Library Week (14-20th November 2025), stressing the need to promote strong reading habits among the student community.

On this occasion the Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy stated that students must cultivate regular library usage to broaden their knowledge base and enhance their academic skills. He has highlighted the libraries as essential centers of learning and intellectual development.
Dean Academic Dr. K. Venumadhav highlighted that despite technological advancements, books remain an irreplaceable source of wisdom. He underscored that reading supports critical thinking, concentration, and personal growth.
Librarian Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy outlined the importance of Library Week and encouraged students to explore various resources available in the library. He announced that the college will organize book exhibitions, quizzes, Essay writing, elocution, debate, reading sessions, and awareness activities throughout the week to inspire student participation. In this programme Prof. M. Srilatha, Librarian, Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy and members, Professors of various departments, Prof. V. Rajagopal, Prof. C. Venkatesh, Prof. U.S. Balraj, Associate professor of chemistry, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Sri. M. Niranjan (Assistant Librarian), Dr. M. Arun Kumar, T. Raju, Ch. Prakash and all the deans & HoDs, Faculty, library staff, students and non-teaching staff present.
