Warangal, Sept 9: The Department of MBA, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) organized a seminar on “Indian Business Models” at the Civil Seminar Hall on the KITSW campus.
The guest lecture was delivered by Sri V. Sai Prasad, Retired Director of Indian Audit and Accounts Services, Hyderabad, under the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India.
On this occasion, former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and former MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar congratulated the MBA department for organizing the seminar.
V. Sai Prasad explained various business models commonly used in India. These included B2C models like Amazon India, B2B models such as IndiaMART, subscription-based models like Infoedge, and on-demand service models such as MakeMyTrip. He also spoke about freemium, ad-based, and marketplace models with examples. He noted that the choice of a business model depends on the company’s product and service.
KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy gave the presidential address and said the seminar would help students build management skills and problem-solving abilities.
Head of MBA Department Dr. P. Surender, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, faculty members Dr. G. Rathnakar, Dr. Sunitha Chakravarthy, Dr. S. Sarika, K. Shashank, Dr. K. Jaipal, and others attended. Around 125 MBA and M.Tech students participated in the seminar.
