VIP Break Darshan at Tirumala Likely to Be Suspended Due to Local Body Election Code

Tirumala: The implementation of the election code for local body elections in Andhra Pradesh is likely to affect VIP break darshan at the Tirumala temple.

According to reports, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is likely to suspend VIP break darshan recommended through letters from MPs, MLAs and other political leaders due to the election code.

TTD has already suspended recommendation letters during the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara. The Chakra Snanam, an important ritual during the Brahmotsavams, is scheduled to be held today.

Reports suggest that the election code may remain in force until December. If implemented, the suspension of VIP break darshan through recommendation letters could continue until then.

TTD is expected to issue an official announcement on the matter on Tuesday or Wednesday, according to reports. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
