Warangal, 14 Dece,2023: In a proactive move towards the city's comprehensive development, Greater Warangal Municipal Commissioner Rizwan Bhasha conducted a thorough inspection on Thursday, surveying the ongoing development projects in Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Kazipet tri-city area.
The primary focus of the commissioner's inspection was the Bhadrakali bund, a key component of the city's beautification initiative under the Smart City Development Programme, with an allocated budget of 70 crores. The beautification project encompasses the creation of a pathway, a cycle track, and the introduction of greenery along the bund. Commissioner Bhasha, while inspecting the site, urged engineering officials and contractors to ensure the completion of the works by the end of January.
Commissioner Bhasha also directed his attention to the proposed Main Road bridge at Naimnagar, emphasizing the necessity of coordination with National Highway authorities to facilitate a seamless integration of the city's infrastructure. Additionally, he oversaw the progress of the Jawahar Nagar bridge works, valued at 3 crores, and the Veg and Non-Veg market yard works, which are currently 50 percent complete and have a budget of 9 crores. Expressing his concern for timely completion, the commissioner advised engineering officials to expedite their efforts.
Inspecting the junctions of NIT and Kazipet, Commissioner Bhasha issued an order for proposals aimed at expanding these critical intersections in the city, aiming to enhance traffic flow and overall accessibility.
The commissioner also took stock of the pending bridge works on the Alankar and Hazara Hospital bypass road, instructing engineering officials to prioritize completion by January 10.
In a statement following the inspection, Commissioner Rizwan Bhasha underscored the significance of these projects in elevating the city's infrastructure and quality of life. He expressed confidence that the concerted efforts of the engineering teams and contractors would result in the timely completion of these crucial initiatives, further contributing to the overall development of Greater Warangal.
