Dayanand Reddy Anugu and Smt. Renuka Donate Rs. 200 Lakhs Towards the Construction of Alumni Building and Incubation Center at KITS Warangal
In a remarkable display of generosity and unwavering commitment to education, Dayanand Reddy Anugu, Founder President of KITSWAA and Managing Director of Vasantha Tools & Crafts Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, along with Smt. Renuka, announced a generous donation of Rs. 200 lakhs towards the construction of an Alumni Building and an Incubation Center at KITS Warangal.
This significant contribution was made on the occasion of the 40th anniversary celebration of KITS Warangal’s first batch (1980-84), aptly named the "Ruby Reunion" The new Alumni Building and Incubation Center will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and alumni engagement, furthering the institute’s mission to nurture talent and foster entrepreneurial spirit among its students and alumni.
The plaque unveiling ceremony for the Alumni Building was a grand event, graced by several distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Nerella Dhananjaya, Managing Director of Indian Agencies, Electronics and Home Appliances, Warangal, and proud parent of KITSW alumnus, Late Sri Nerella Naveen Chandra, along with the Guest of Honor, Dayanand Reddy Anugu, led the unveiling ceremony. They were joined by KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, former MP (Rajya Sabha), and KITSW Treasurer, P. Narayana Reddy. Also present was Shiva Charan Singh, former Senior Programme Manager at Amazon Customer Service, Seattle, WA, USA, who contributed to the collective unveiling of the Alumni Building plaque.
Speaking at the event, KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, congratulated the alumni on their continued dedication to the institution and expressed his deep appreciation for their contributions towards the development of the Alumni Building. He emphasized that such acts of generosity are a testament to the enduring bond between the alumni and their alma mater.
In addition to the Rs. 200 lakhs donation by Dayanand Reddy Anugu and Smt. Renuka, the event also saw significant contributions from other alumni. Er. Bheem Rao, Former President of KITSWAA, donated Rs. 2.5 lakhs, while Suresh Reddy, Managing Director of Amrutha Tools & Crafts Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, contributed Rs. 25 lakhs.
The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including DRDO Distinguished Scientist Yugander, Industrialist Satya Mohan, Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, and other esteemed faculty members, alumni, and students. The presence of over 80 alumni members from across the globe highlighted the strong and vibrant network that KITS Warangal has nurtured over the years.
This generous donation by Dayanand Reddy Anugu and Smt. Renuka marks a new chapter in the history of KITS Warangal, paving the way for future advancements and continued success.
