Two final year students from Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, under Kakatiya University, have made their mark in the National Himalayan Adventure. Sairam Reddy Solleti, a Computer Science and Engineering student, and Arkati Kaveri, an Information Technology student, showcased their adventurous spirit during a 10-day expedition at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
The adventure, organized by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS) in Dharamshala from December 23, 2023, to January 1, 2024, witnessed 20 participants from across the country. Among them, Sairam Reddy Solleti and Arkati Kaveri represented KITS Warangal with pride.
The Himalayan camp served as a platform for personal growth, featuring rock climbing and rappelling sessions that pushed the participants to new heights. Morning walks around Dal Lake provided serene moments in the midst of Dharamshala's pristine beauty.
The adventure reached its peak with a festive celebration, where Sairam and Kaveri actively contributed to the Christmas makeover of the campsite. Their efforts not only showcased the spirit of KITS but also reflected personal growth and resilience.
Former MP, Rajya Sabha, and KITS Warangal Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, along with KITSW Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, former MLA of Husnabad constituency and KITSW Additional Secretary,V. Sathish Kumar, and other management members, appreciated the NSS volunteers, A. Kaveri and Sairam Reddy Solleti, for their commendable representation.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Head of the Physical Sciences department, and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, NSS Program Officer Dr. Sateesh Chandra, faculty, and staff extended their congratulations and appreciation to Sairam Reddy and Kaveri for bringing pride to KITS Warangal under Kakatiya University.
As these adventurous students return, their experiences promise to inspire fellow students, encouraging them to seek adventures for personal and collective growth.
