In a joyous affair at the Auditorium, KITS Warangal, the spirit of National Youth Day came alive as certificates were bestowed upon dedicated NSS student volunteers. S. Sai Ram Reddy, M. Kavya Sree, K. Varsha, K. Siddhartha Yadav, K. PremSai, Ch. Pooja, and B. Naveen Yadav (Youth Volunteer) were honored for their commitment to road safety and traffic rules by none other than the esteemed District Collector and Magistrate, Sikta Patnaik, and the Warangal Police Commissioner, CP Ambar Kishor Jha.


The vibrant event, organized by NSS volunteers under the Student Activity Centre at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW), in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra and Warangal Police Commissionerate, witnessed its inauguration by the chief guest, District Collector Sikta Patnaik. The lamp-lighting ceremony set the tone for a day filled with inspiration and communal spirit.



Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy expressed his pride in the NSS team, underscoring the theme of the day: Traffic Awareness Week and the vital role of youth. District Collector Sikta Patnaik urged the youth to actively propagate traffic rules beyond social media, contributing to a tangible reduction in accidents, emphasizing the importance of saving lives.

Commending the NSS student volunteers for their enthusiastic social services and innovative initiatives, Sikta Patnaik acknowledged their role in achieving a significant number of voter ID enrollments.

CP Ambar Kishor Jha, IPS, from the Warangal Police Commissionerate, envisioned Telangana as a drug-free state and called upon the youth to strive towards making it accident-free. He invoked the spirit of the youth with the mantra, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached."

Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy urged students to apply their technical skills to contribute towards reducing road accidents and serving society. Anvesh Chintala from Nehru Yuva Kendra shared presidential remarks, emphasizing the collective responsibility of creating a safer and responsible society.

The event saw active participation from ACP Zithender Reddy, Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Hanamkonda Traffic CI Sri Seetha Reddy, KITSW NSS Coordinator Dr. CH. Sateesh Chandra, Dean Student Affairs Prof. V. Shakar, Associate Dean Sri. M. Narasimha Rao, Associate Professor Of Chemistry PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, along with all deans, heads, faculty, staff, and over 250 enthusiastic student volunteers.
