Valedictory Ceremony Concludes Yonex-Sunrise 10th Telangana State Sub Junior Badminton Championship 2024.


Warangal, July 26, 2024 — The Yonex-Sunrise 10th Telangana State Sub Junior Badminton Championship 2024 for the Under-17 age group concluded today at the Warangal Club, Hanamkonda. Organized by the Warangal District Badminton Association (WDBA) under the auspices of the Badminton Association of Telangana (BAT) and the Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS), the event saw participation from 250 young athletes.


Dr. P. Ramesh Reddy, General Secretary of WDBA and Administrative Officer of KITS Warangal, announced that the selected players will advance to the National level competition in Kerala.


Sri Ambar Kishore Jha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Warangal, attended as the chief guest. He emphasized the importance of sports for youth, advocating for continuous physical activity to promote health and prevent addictions to substances or excessive mobile phone use. He congratulated the winners and commended the organizers for a successful tournament, highlighting the role of sports in fostering unity, discipline, and physical well-being.



WDBA President Dr. S. Ramesh Kumar lauded the tournament for providing a platform for young talent to shine and encouraged the participants to aim for higher competitive levels. He also awarded cash prizes to the winners and runners-up.


Key figures present included Sri P. Ravinder Reddy, Secretary of Warangal Club; Dr. M. Jithendher Reddy, ACP; WDBA General Secretary Dr. P. Ramesh Reddy; WDBA Treasurer D. Nagakishan; WDBA Vice President Dr. N. Mohan Rao; and other WDBA members. The event attracted a large number of players, their parents, and sports enthusiasts.
