The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) in Warangal kicked off a one-week induction program for newly recruited faculty. Organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the event is being held at the IBM lab in Block-2 from July 9th to 13th, 2024.

Professor M. Komal Reddy, the chief guest and KITSW Registrar, emphasized that the main goal of this program is to help new faculty integrate smoothly into the KITSW community. He discussed various aspects such as management, governance, research and development, performance appraisal systems, and the infrastructure and resources available at KITS Warangal.

Professor K. Sridhar from the Mechanical Engineering department highlighted the importance of clarity, communication, and commitment in mentoring students. He also spoke about understanding student psychology and the role of counselors in both career and personal development.

Prof. C. Venkatesh, the IQAC coordinator, noted that the induction program is a great opportunity for faculty to update their knowledge and skills. He mentioned that teachers should adopt a hybrid mode of teaching to align with the current Outcome Based Education (OBE) system.

Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer Sir P. Narayana Reddy, and Former MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar praised the IQAC for organizing the program.

The event saw participation from Dean Academics Prof. K. Venumadhav, various deans, Professor and Head of the CSE Department Dr. V. Shankar, Professor and Head of the CSM Department Dr. S. Narsimha Reddy, Head of PSD & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, along with 64 faculty members and staff.
