In order to create awareness on fire safety and to increase the general level of fire awareness, the Fire Services Department of Secretariat conducted an awareness programme for the SPF personnel at Secretariat today. The Secretariat which was under the protection of Telangana Special Police earlier has now been handed over to SPF which is incharge of the security at Secretariat.
G V Prasad, Assistant District Fire Officer, Janya, Station Fire Officer and A.Yadaiah, Station Fire Officer explained in detail about basic fire awareness and how to use fire extinguishers/ fixed fire installations. The Fire officials briefed the SPF personnel about the fire evacuation procedures, including fire safety and prevention. A demonstration on how to rescue from terrace through BRONTO SKY LIFT (BSL) and the two men method consisting of breathing exercises and artificial respiration was explained to the SPF personnel. Chief Security Officer of Secretariat Devdas and staff of SPF participated in the awareness programme.
