KITS Warangal, Central Library Celebrates 57th National Library Week
The Central library, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal (KITSW), celebrated 57th National Library Week. The institute has been celebrating national library week from 14th to 20th November 2024. said by Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. On this occasion the library information brochure is released jointly by the Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy and Dean, academic affairs Prof. K. Venumadhav by lighting lamp held at central library KITS Warangal Campus on Thursday.
The book exhibition is to be conducted with the 1200 latest new titles, elocution, debate , essay writing competitions, during the library week said by the Librarian, Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy .
On this occasion Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted that libraries are invaluable institutions that promote knowledge, personal growth, empowerment, and student engagement. Library provides access to a wealth of resources, cultivates a love of reading, and offers lifelong learning opportunities.
The Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, urged the student community to focus on the utility of central library facilities provided by the institute. Spending more time in the library will lead to gaining knowledge on advanced technological developments.
In this regard, the Dean, academic affairs Prof. K. Venumadhav said that our management has been providing latest library facilities like Digital library, reputed online national and international journals and 84575 books with 16115 titles, back volumes and 6022 e-books and 50866 online journals through AICTE Mandatory journals subscriptions.
In this programme Library advisory committee chairwoman, Prof. M. Srilatha, Librarian, Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy and members, Administrative officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, Professors of various departments, Prof. B. Ramadevi, Prof. C. Venkatesh, Associate professor of chemistry, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, M. Niranjan (Assistant Librarian), principal office superintendents S. Satish and all the deans & HoDs, Faculty, library staff, students and non-teaching staff present.
