Two-Day National Seminar on AI Tools for Research Held at Government Degree College, Mulugu

A two-day National Seminar on “Empowering Research Excellence: AI Tools for Academic Writing and Publishing” was successfully organized on February 6 and 7, 2026, at Government Degree College, Mulugu, Mulugu District. The seminar was conducted with the financial support of PM-USHA and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
The seminar was inaugurated on the first day by the Chief Guest Prof. G. Ram Reddy, Sammakka Saralamma Tribal University, Mulugu. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. P. Varalakshmi, Department of Commerce and Business Management, who explained the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence tools in enhancing the quality of research and academic publications.
Another Chief Guest, Dr. B. Radhika Rani, addressed the gathering and emphasized the ethical and effective use of AI technologies in research activities.
On the second day, Dr. Iranna Shettar, Deputy Librarian, NIT Warangal, participated as Chief Guest and spoke on advanced AI applications in libraries and modern research environments. Dr. M. Anjaiah, Assistant Professor, Dravidian University, Andhra Pradesh, attended as Guest of Honour and highlighted the importance of digital research skills for scholars and academicians.
The seminar was presided over by the College Principal Dr. K. Mallesham. Dr. B. Balaiah, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, addressed the participants and stressed the need to integrate AI tools into academic research practices to achieve excellence.
The seminar was convened by Dr. B. Jagadish, Librarian, with Dr. CH. Bhaskar, Associate Professor in Commerce, serving as Co-Convener, and Dr. B. Sirisha, Assistant Professor of Commerce, as Organizing Secretary. They efficiently coordinated the academic sessions and seminar activities.
Participants included Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy, S. Anil Kumar, Library and Information Science students, research scholars, faculty members, librarians, and principals from various colleges. The seminar featured expert lectures, interactive sessions, and discussions on AI-driven tools for academic writing, publishing standards, and research excellence.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. K. Kavitha. Participants expressed positive feedback, appreciating the seminar for its practical insights and academic relevance.
