Ethnic Eco-Village Foundation Stone Laid in Mulugu


Mulugu district, already renowned as a tourist hub, is set to gain further prominence with the establishment of an Eco Ethnic Village at Incherla village. The project, with an estimated cost of ₹37 crore, aims to boost tourism and showcase local traditions.
On Monday, Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare, Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) along with Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, Additional Collector (Revenue) Ch. Mahender, and Library Corporation Chairman Ravi Chander laid the foundation stone for the ambitious project.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Seethakka said continuous efforts are being made for the all-round development of Mulugu constituency. She highlighted the government’s commitment to transform Mulugu into a prime tourist destination by developing attractions like Ramappa Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Laknavaram Lake, Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara site, Bogatha waterfalls, and forest eco-tourism spots.
The minister announced several ongoing and upcoming works:
• A shopping complex and “Happy Theatre” near the national highway for artisans and tourists (₹37 crore).
• Island development works at Ramappa (₹13 crore) and Laknavaram.
• Infrastructure for Medaram Jatara pilgrims with ₹150 crore allocated by the state government, including ₹5 crore for works on Jampanna Vagu.
She emphasized that these initiatives will make Mulugu the top tourist hub in Telangana.
Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy appreciated Minister Seethakka’s efforts in securing both state and central funds for the district’s tourism projects. He assured that the government is determined to fully develop Mulugu as a premier tourist destination.


Officials from the Tourism Department, public representatives, and local leaders were present.
