Warangal, August 14: The Training and Placement Office (TPO) of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW), organised a two-hour masterclass on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and changing talent requirements in the IT industry at the college auditorium.
The session was conducted by Shri Brahma Mutya, Principal Director, LTIMindtree, Hyderabad, and Shri Macherla Kiran Kumar, Regional Head – Talent Acquisition Group, LTI Mindtree. The session was held on the topic “How AI Is Reshaping the IT Industry and Redefining Talent Expectations.”
More than 400 B.Tech students of the 2027 graduating batch attended the session. The speakers discussed how AI is changing project workflows, automation and the nature of work in IT companies. They also explained the changing skill requirements for technology professionals, including AI-assisted software development, prompt engineering and problem-solving skills.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said that the institute had recorded 671 campus placements for students of the 2025-26 academic year. He said that such industry sessions would help students understand current workplace requirements and prepare for employment opportunities.
Dean–Training and Placements Prof. Y. Purandar said that the interaction provided students with an opportunity to understand the changes taking place in the IT sector and the skills expected from fresh graduates.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITS Warangal Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW Treasurer Shri P. Narayana Reddy, former MLA and KITSW Additional Secretary Shri Vodithala Satish Kumar, and Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy appreciated the Training and Placement Office and the Computer departments for organising the session.
