Warangal/Chennai, August 16, 2026: Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy, Librarian of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITSW), Warangal, has received the Madras Library Association (MALA) Best Teacher Award 2026 for his contributions to Library and Information Science and his long-standing service in the field.
The award was presented on August 16 at the Anna Centenary Library, Kotturpuram, Chennai, during the National Librarians’ Day celebrations held to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan.
Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy received the award from Dr. S. Armstrong, Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras, and Prof. Dr. M. Doraswamy, former Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University, Kuppam.
The award recognises his 18 years of teaching and professional contributions to Library and Information Science. He has rendered teaching services at the School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE), Kakatiya University, Warangal, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Warangal.
The management and staff of KITSW congratulated Dr. Indrasena Reddy on receiving the award. Former Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of KITSW Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer Shri P.
