Grand Valedictory Held for Warangal District Badminton Tournament-2026 at KITS Campus
The valedictory programme of the “Warangal District Badminton Tournament-2026 for Boys, Girls, Men and Women” was held on Sunday at the indoor stadium of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science. The tournament was organised by the Warangal District Badminton Association, which is affiliated to the Badminton Association of Telangana.
Focus on Sports and Health
Speaking at the event, WDBA President Dr. S. Ramesh Kumar said that young people should make sports and games part of their daily routine to maintain good health. He said sports help in developing discipline, unity and physical fitness among children and youth.
He congratulated the winners and appreciated the organisers for conducting the tournament successfully. He also assured support from Warangal Club for the promotion of badminton in the district. He encouraged players to work with determination and perform well in state and higher-level competitions.
Platform for Young Players
Vice President of BAT, WDBA General Secretary and Administrative Officer of KITS Warangal, Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, said the tournament provided a platform for talented players from the combined Warangal district to showcase their skills.
He said sports help in developing skill-oriented abilities and a positive mindset. Continuous practice and hard work help players achieve success, he added.
According to the organisers, around 300 players participated in the tournament. Winners from the district tournament will be sent to state-level competitions.
