ECE Association of KITS Warangal Organises “RESOLVE 2026” Hackathon
Warangal, September 19: The Electronics and Communication Engineering Association (ECEA) of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Warangal, organised “RESOLVE 2026”, a one-day hackathon, at the New Seminar Hall of the institute on Saturday. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to foster innovation, develop practical skills, promote teamwork and create technology-driven solutions to real-world problems.
Speaking on the occasion, KITS Warangal Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said the hackathon provided students with an opportunity to transform their ideas into practical solutions. He said such initiatives encourage students to gain hands-on experience and apply their technical knowledge to contemporary challenges.
The hackathon focused on eight major themes: Smart Agriculture Management, Healthcare, FinTech, Smart Cities, Disaster Management, Sustainability and Energy, Industry 4.0, and Education & Assistive Technology. Participants were presented with real-world problem statements and encouraged to develop innovative solutions using emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), IoT-ML integration, prototyping and simulation.
ECE Association Head Prof. G. Raghotham Reddy, in his presidential remarks, highlighted the importance of mentorship and experiential learning in technical education. He said RESOLVE 2026 enabled students to apply classroom concepts to practical challenges while exploring interdisciplinary applications of technology.
The event was coordinated by faculty members Dr. K. Sowjanya, Sri A. Pavan, Dr. Md. Abdul Muqueem and Smt. E. Susmitha. Prof. B. Rama Devi, Associate Professor and PRO, along with Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Sri E. Suresh, Dr. S. P. Girija, Smt. A. Vijaya, Dr. M. Raju, Dr. V. Venkateshwar Reddy, Dr. S. Umamaheswara Rao, Dr. J. Tarun Kumar and Dr. A. Srinivas extended their support for the successful conduct of the programme.
Student coordinators, including President M. Smarana, Vice-President M. A. Muzzamil, Ch. Siddartha, A. Rohak and Akhilesh, played an active role in organising the hackathon. More than 100 students participated enthusiastically, contributing to the successful completion of RESOLVE 2026.
