Telangana Government Steps Up Support for Returnees from Border Areas

New Delhi | May 11, 2025: The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is continuing to provide crucial relief and assistance to citizens returning from border regions, with Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi serving as the central hub for all coordination efforts.

So far, 126 people have arrived at Telangana Bhawan, including 91 individuals who reached since midnight. Among them are:

Out of the total, 57 have already left for their hometowns after receiving the necessary support. The rest are currently staying at Telangana Bhawan, where they are being provided with free food, accommodation, medical care, and transport for their onward journey.

Officials at the Bhawan are working in close coordination with local district administrations and central authorities to ensure safe and smooth travel for all returnees.

Dr. Gaurav Uppal, the Resident Commissioner, is personally monitoring the situation and overseeing preparations as more citizens are expected to arrive by tomorrow morning. All arrangements for their comfort and safety have been made.

Reaffirming its commitment, the Telangana government stated that it will continue these efforts until every stranded person is safely back home.
