Two students from Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW) — Pavushetty Yashwanth Krishna and Eesha Belladi — have secured the first prize in the international Generative AI Hackathon organized by IBM. Competing against 1,931 participants from 267 teams across the globe, their project Content Hub emerged as the top solution.

The announcement was made by KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, who shared that the duo won $5,000 in cash, $500 in IBM Cloud credits, and a pass to attend the IBM TechXchange Conference 2025 in Orlando, Florida.

The 48-hour hackathon focused on using IBM’s Granite AI models to create solutions that improve business processes through automation and innovation. Yashwanth and Eesha’s project, Content Hub, uses AI to turn social media activity on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram into SEO-optimized content in real time. It also provides analytics to help users improve their digital presence.

Prof. Ashoka Reddy praised the students for their effort, saying, “This achievement reflects both technical skill and the ability to solve real-world problems. Winning this hackathon is a proud moment for our institution.”

KITSW Chairman and former Rajya Sabha Member Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and Additional Secretary and former MLA V. Satish Kumar also congratulated the winners. They highlighted the institute’s continued support for innovation and emerging technologies.

The department in-charge Dr. B.V. Pranay Kumar, the students’ parents Dr. Pavushetty Sreedhar and Vanitha, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, and faculty members also extended their congratulations.
