Warangal: The Warangal District Table Tennis Tournament-2025 was held from August 23 to 24, 2025, at the Indoor Stadium, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS Warangal). The event was organized by the Warangal District Table Tennis Association (WDTTA) to encourage sports spirit among students and youth, said WDTTA President Mr. Akarapu Harish.
The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ramesh, a well-known sports resource person, as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that playing table tennis requires both sporting spirit and strong visual skills. He added that wins and losses are common in sports and emphasized the importance of physical fitness and mental strength.
WDTTA President Mr. Harish stated that the tournament was successfully conducted under the association’s guidance, and prizes were distributed to winners in boys, girls, men’s, and women’s categories.
KITS Warangal Administrative Officer Prof. Pingili Ramesh Reddy, retired Physical Director Mr. M. Mohan Rao, WDTTA General Secretary & Head of Physical Education Department Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy, WDTTA Vice Presidents Dr. Jai Singh Ajmera and Mr. K. Sunil Kumar, along with executive members Mr. Ravi Kumar, Mr. K. Venkataswamy, and Mr. Mahesh participated in the program. Heads of departments, deans, faculty members, staff, and KITS-W Associate Professor of Chemistry & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary also attended the ceremony.
