Donate Blood, Save Lives: Warangal District Judge Nirmala Geethamba Calls for Social Responsibility



Blood Donation Camp Held at Warangal Bar Association

Donating blood can save countless lives, especially those battling conditions like thalassemia and hemophilia, said Warangal District Judge Nirmala Geethamba. She urged advocates and the public to come forward for this noble cause.
The Judge inaugurated a blood donation camp organised jointly by the Warangal District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the Warangal District Bar Association at the DLS Seva Sadan on the Court premises on Tuesday.
Warangal and Hanumakonda District Judges Nirmala Geethamba and Pattabhi Rama Rao appreciated the initiative, stating that blood donation is not only a service activity but a powerful symbol of humanity. They said that conducting such programmes under the leadership of Bar Association President Valusa Sudhir is commendable and an inspiration to society.
Bar Association President Valusa Sudhir highlighted the increasing demand for blood and the struggles of thalassemia children, cancer patients, emergency surgery patients, and accident victims who desperately wait for blood. He stressed that a single unit of blood can save up to three lives, calling blood donation the highest form of humanity.
Senior Civil Judge and DLSA Secretary Sai Kumar, Judges Kshama Deshpande, Ramalingam, Narayana Babu, Usha Kranti, Pooja, Nandikonda Ritika, Harika, Venkata Chandra Prasanna, and office-bearers of Warangal and Hanumakonda Bar Associations participated in the event.
Members of the Indian Red Cross Society, medical officers, blood donor motivators, advocates, and court staff also took part enthusiastically.
A total of 60 advocates donated blood. Organisers presented fruits and certificates to each donor and expressed gratitude for contributing to a life-saving cause.
