Grand Inaugural Ceremony of SUMSHODHINI 25 Held at KITS Warangal

The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) hosted the grand inaugural ceremony of the national-level student technical symposium “SUMSHODHINI’25” at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall on Saturday. The event is being organized by the ISTE KITSW Student Chapter in association with the Technical Club and the Student Activity Center (SAC), along with all ten departments of the institution. The symposium will be held over two days — October 18 and 19, 2025.

The event was inaugurated by Phanidhar Sangam, Talent Engagement Lead at Northern Tool & Equipment, Hyderabad, along with K. Devi Prasad, retired judge and KITSW Governing Body Member; V. Satish Kumar, Additional Secretary of KITSW and former MLA; and Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Principal of KITSW, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao (former MP) and Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy congratulated the organizers for conducting the national-level fest.

Addressing the students, chief guest Phanidhar Sangam urged them to focus on both frontend and backend development in line with industry expectations. He encouraged students to work on real-time projects, develop communication skills, and maintain a growth mindset. “Believe in yourself and your technical abilities to build a bright future,” he said. He also appreciated KITSW management for its continuous support toward innovation and startups among students.

V. Satish Kumar advised students to maintain positivity, think critically, and enhance problem-solving skills. “Concentration and sincerity are key to success,” he said.

Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted that the symposium would host 12 workshops and over 80 technical events, including paper presentations and a treasure hunt, aimed at promoting startup culture and technical learning across all ten departments—CSE, CSN, ECE, EEE, ME, CE, IT, ECI, MBA, and others.

Delivering the presidential remarks, K. Devi Prasad said that the theme “Create, Collaborate, and Innovate for Upskilling” reflects KITSW’s commitment to student development and industry readiness. He commended the organizing team, faculty mentors, and participants for their contribution.

According to Prof. M. Srilatha, Dean of Student Affairs and fest convener, around 4,000 students from various institutions are taking part in the event. She also noted that KITSW provides access to research journals worth Rs. 45 lakh per year to support student learning.

The event was attended by Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Administrative Officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, Program Coordinator Dr. T. Madhukar Reddy, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Co-coordinators Dr. S. Sunil Prathap Reddy and Dr. B. Vijay Kumar, along with faculty, deans, and student representatives. Over 4,000 students actively participated in making the event a success.
