KITS Warangal, Centle India sign MoU to promote AI learning and student development

Warangal, September 9: Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal and Hyderabad-based startup Centle India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 9, 2026, to promote artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, practical learning and student development.
The MoU was signed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) at KITS Warangal during a programme held at the Committee Hall on the campus.
KITS Warangal Additional Secretary and former Husnabad MLA V. Satheesh Kumar said the collaboration would focus on developing an AI-based framework and a Student Development Framework. The initiative is intended to help students gain skills relevant to emerging technologies, improve industry readiness and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
Former Rajya Sabha member and KITS Warangal associated member Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy and other officials attended the programme.
Centle India Co-Founder G. Sai Krishna said the startup would provide students opportunities to learn about emerging technologies through practical training, mentoring and industry-oriented activities.
Centle India was founded by Gugulothu Vamshi, an alumnus of IIM Ranchi, and Gugulothu Sai, an alumnus of IIT Kolkata, with a focus on promoting technology skills and startup culture among students.
As part of the collaboration, the TriCity AI Hackathon will be conducted on October 10 and 11. More than 1,000 students from Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet are expected to participate. The two-day event will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and Agentic AI. Participants will work on real-world problem statements, interact with industry experts and mentors, and present their prototypes and ideas.
KITS Warangal Principal Prof. Ashoka Reddy said the initiative would help strengthen interaction between industry and academia. He said the programme would provide students and faculty with opportunities to work with industry professionals and mentors on practical challenges and emerging technologies.
