Warangal, Sept 21:
The Department of CSE (AIML-CSM), in collaboration with the Centre for I2RE, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW), successfully conducted the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2025). The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 145 teams from various engineering branches, showcasing innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Of these, 50 teams have been shortlisted to represent the institute in SIH-2025.
The hackathon was inaugurated by KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, who stressed the significance of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in engineering education. The evaluation process was carried out across 21 venues, with judges from academia and industry assessing the innovative ideas presented by the students.

Encouragement and guidance were extended by Dr. Raja Narender Reddy (Head, I2RE), Dr. S. Narasimha Reddy (Head, CSE-AIML), and Dr. P. Vijay Kumar (President, IIC). The leadership of KITSW, including former Rajya Sabha MP & Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer Shri P. Narayana Reddy, and former MLA & Additional Secretary Shri Vodithala Satish Kumar, along with Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, congratulated the organizers, faculty, and student participants on the grand success of the event.
Special appreciation was given to Team I2RE, Dr. D. Kumar, Dr. A. Jyothiprabha, faculty mentors, judges, and student volunteers for their committed efforts. The hackathon was meticulously coordinated by Dr. K. Shivakumar (Assistant Professor, CSE-AIML, SPOC & Coordinator SIH-2025) and Sri P. Sravan (Assistant Professor, CSE-AIML, Co-Coordinator SIH-2025).
The event witnessed the active involvement of over 550 students, 150 faculty members, Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, staff, and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary. The hackathon stood as a vibrant platform to nurture student innovation and prepare them for national-level challenges.
