Hanamkonda: Thalla Chaithanya, Director of Thalla Padmavathi Group of Institutions, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) by KL University, announced Chairman Thalla Mallesham during a meeting held at Thalla Padmavathi College of Engineering (TPCE) campus in Kazipet, Hanamkonda district.
In a press statement released on Monday, Mallesham stated that Chaithanya submitted her doctoral thesis titled “Synthesis and Biological Screening of Isoxazole, Thiazole, Thiadiazole, Isatin and Benzimidazole Derivatives” to the university. Her research was carried out under the joint supervision of Dr. A. Venkateswara Rao, Head of the Department of Chemistry at KL University, and Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Sciences at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science.
Her research primarily focused on anti-cancer derivatives in the fields of heterocyclic chemistry and drug chemistry. During her doctoral work, Chaithanya published four research papers in reputed international journals indexed in SCI and Scopus, along with four papers presented at national-level conferences.
Chairman Thalla Mallesham congratulated Chaithanya on her achievement and expressed pride that his family now has three doctorate holders, including his sons Dr. Thalla Vamshi and Dr. Thalla Varun. He stated that this accomplishment would further strengthen research and development activities within the Thalla Padmavathi Group of Institutions.
On the occasion, Directors Dr. Thalla Vamshi and Dr. Thalla Varun, along with Dr. R. Velu, Principal of TPCE, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Principal of KITS Warangal, faculty members, and students extended their congratulations to Dr. Chaithanya.
