AICTE Member Secretary Highlights Quality, Skills, and Innovation at AICTE IdeaLab@ KITS Warangal Campus

The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) had the privilege of hosting Dr. M. Ramulu, Member Secretary, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Advisor-1, at its Innovation, Incubation, Research and Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ci2RE).
During his visit, Dr. Ramulu toured the AICTE-sponsored IdeaLab and incubation facilities, interacted with students, reviewed prototypes, and offered guidance on idea validation, market alignment, and funding. He also appreciated the vibrant student-driven ecosystem that fosters creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Later, in a separate faculty address held at the CIvil Seminar Hall, attended by around 200 faculty members, Dr. Ramulu educated the gathering on the role of NEP 2020, AICTE’s quality assurance procedures, and its new policies, schemes, and initiatives. He urged faculty to adopt innovative pedagogical practices, mentor student entrepreneurs, and strengthen the culture of quality and skills-driven education.
In his remarks, Dr. Ramulu applauded the impact of the AICTE IdeaLab at KITSW, which has trained over 3,000 students in design thinking, prototyping, and product development. He congratulated KITSW for building a strong foundation for innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship and encouraged both students and faculty to work towards societal impact and global competitiveness.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of AICTE’s mission to integrate quality, innovation, and skills into higher education, empowering students and faculty alike to become future-ready innovators and leaders for the benefit of society.
The visit was graced by Dr. K. Ashoka Reddy, Principal, KITSW, Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Registrar, and Dr. K. Venumadhav, Dean (Academics), a visit to AICTE IDEA LAB @ KITSW was coordinated by Dr. K. Raja Narendra Reddy, Head of Ci2RE. Faculty coordinators including Dr. V. Raju Reddy (Co-coordinator, AICTE IdeaLab), Dr. Aruri Devraju (Coordinator, MSME-BI), and Dr. K. Kishore Kumar (Coordinator, E-Cell), along with the incubation team—Mr. Dhruti Das (Incubation Manager), Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sahu (Sr. Incubation Associate), and Mr. Akash Elakanti (Incubation Executive),actively participated. The Student Alliance for Innovation and Leadership (SAiL), represented by Ms. Asmita Pammi (President), along with Ms. Sahasra Siri and the student team engaged in discussions on the vision and mission of Ci2RE and SAiL.
