RCTA Pensioners’ Day and Diary Release Held in Hanumakonda

The Pensioners’ Day and Diary Release programme of the Retired College Teachers Association (RCTA) was held on January 4, 2026, at Nakkalagutta, Hanumakonda. The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of RCTA Warangal District President Puli Sarangapani.
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, Warangal Member of Parliament Dr. Kadiyam Kavya, and former Deputy Chief Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Mr. Kadiyam Srihari attended the programme as chief guests.
RCTA State President Vidyasagar and State Vice-President Satyanarayana Rao attended as special invitees.
The programme began with RCTA Warangal District Secretary Dr. B. Malla Reddy presenting the secretary’s report, explaining the activities and issues of the association.
Addressing the gathering, RCTA District President Puli Sarangapani spoke about the need for a dedicated RCTA building for retired teachers and highlighted the importance of the Employee Health Scheme (EHS) for the health protection of pensioners.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari stated that he would work to bring the issues of retired employees to the notice of the Chief Minister and would strive for the issuance of health cards to pensioners. He said that whether in politics or service, everyone belongs to one family and credited his background as a teacher for maintaining integrity throughout his 35-year political career. He assured that he would raise pensioners’ issues in the Assembly if required.
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy addressed the gathering. He assured that he would extend all possible support to retired teachers. He announced that ₹10 lakh would be sanctioned from his MLA Development Fund for the construction of the RCTA building.





Speaking on the occasion, he said that the contribution of teachers to society can never be forgotten and that the experience of retired teachers remains valuable even after retirement. He reiterated his commitment to support the development of the association.
Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya stated that she would take up the issue of the UGC 8th Pay Commission in Delhi.
She also announced that ₹10 lakh would be given from her funds for the association building.
RCTA Diary was formally released in the programme.
RCTA State President Vidyasagar, in his speech, cautioned pensioners to remain alert regarding pension-related laws issued by the Central Government. RCTA State Vice-President D. Satyanarayana Rao appreciated the activities carried out by the Warangal RCTA unit.
Later, retired teachers who superannuated in the year 2012 were felicitated by the association.

The programme concluded with felicitation of the guests. RCTA office bearers, members, retired teachers, and local leaders participated in the event.
