Hyderabad, October 18, 2023; In a fiery exchange of words in the run-up to the Telangana state elections, K Kavitha, the prominent leader of the BRS (Bharatiya Raita Sambaralu), questioned Rahul Gandhi's motives for visiting Telangana and labeled him as "Election Gandhi." She urged him to enjoy the local cuisine, including the famous 'Ankapur chicken,' and then leave the state.

Speaking to reporters in Bodhan, located 206 kilometers from Hyderabad, Kavitha also requested Rahul Gandhi, who was embarking on a three-day bus tour starting today with a scheduled visit to Nizamabad, to refrain from creating divisions among the people with his controversial statements.

Kavitha did not hold back in her criticism of Gandhi, asserting that he had made no meaningful contributions to the state, its farmers, or students, and that he was not a part of Telangana's "growth story."

She remarked, "You have no place in Telangana. That is why Mr. Rahul ji, we want to call you only 'Election Gandhi,' not Rahul Gandhi. This name does not befit you when you come to Telangana. When you visit Nizamabad, savor the local Ankapur chicken, which is renowned here. We welcome you to come here as a tourist, and please depart. Thank you so much."

Taking a swipe at the Congress party, Kavitha alleged that communal tensions had flared up in various states whenever the Congress sought to change Chief Ministers in the past. She warned against making divisive statements that could disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Telangana.

Addressing the communal harmony in the state, Kavitha highlighted the recent example of Muslims in Hyderabad postponing their Milad Un Nabi procession to coincide with Ganesh idol immersion Day. She credited this harmony for attracting investments into the state.

Kavitha, the daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, further accused the Congress, which had ruled the region for approximately 65 years in the past, of failing to provide even basic amenities such as drinking water to the people.
