To honor the upcoming Telangana State Formation Day on June 2nd, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, alongside senior officials, conducted a comprehensive review of the arrangements.

With the Election Commission of India granting permission for the government to host the state formation day, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to ensure meticulous planning for the occasion.

This year marks a significant milestone as the Congress party, under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, assumes power, leading the celebrations for the first time. Former President of the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi, who played a pivotal role in Telangana's formation, along with other party leaders, is expected to grace the event.

The venue for the state formation day celebrations is set at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. The Chief Minister will commence the festivities by paying homage to the martyrs at the Telangana Amaraveerula Stupam in Gun Park. To facilitate smooth proceedings, the police department was tasked with creating a traffic route map, designated alighting/pick-up points, and parking areas, while ensuring timely departures for dignitaries.

Various departments, including Roads & Buildings, GHMC, Cultural, and Energy, have been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure the event's success. From barricading and shade arrangements to sanitation, decoration, and uninterrupted power supply, each aspect is being meticulously addressed.

The coordination among departments is emphasized to orchestrate a grand and seamless celebration.

The meeting was attended by DGP Ravi Gupta, Special Chief Secretary Adhar Sinha, Principal Secretaries B Venkatesham and Jitender, Secretaries Christina Zongthu, MD HMWSB Sudershan Reddy, MD TSPDCL Musharaf, CDMA Divya, Special Commissioner I&PR Hanumantha Rao, and other officials.
