Telangana Government Mandates transition from "TS" to "TG"



In a decisive move, the Telangana government has issued stringent directives to enforce the transition from "TS" to "TG" across all official documents and communication. This change aims to reflect the state's identity accurately and ensure uniformity in official correspondence.


Under the government's orders, all official materials, including policy papers, Government Orders (GOs), notifications, circulars, reports, letterheads, and other communication mediums, must adopt "TG" by May 20, 2024. This deadline emphasizes the urgency of the transition and underscores the government's commitment to implementing this change swiftly.


Furthermore, the government has urged all departments to assess their existing stationary and printed materials containing the abbreviation "TS." Departments are required to formulate a comprehensive plan for the timely replacement or overprinting of these materials with the updated abbreviation "TG" by May 25, 2024.


This mandate extends to all future official communications, both internal and external, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the prescribed abbreviation "TG" for Telangana. By setting clear deadlines and providing guidelines for implementation, the government aims to streamline communication processes and ensure consistency in representing the state's identity.
