The Telangana government has taken decisive action by ordering a vigilance enquiry into Kakatiya University's Vice Chancellor, Prof. T. Ramesh. The Higher Education Principal Secretary to the Government, B Venkatesham, has issued orders for the investigation, citing concerns over alleged unlawful retention of terminated faculty, illegal transfers, unfair academic appointments, and approval of fake projects under Prof. T Ramesh's tenure.

The decision comes after faculty members of Kakatiya University, along with representatives of teaching associations, filed a written complaint against the VC, highlighting various irregularities and misconduct.

In response to the complaint, the Principal Secretary has directed the Director-General of Vigilance and Enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations and submit a comprehensive report.

During his election campaign in Warnagal, CM Revanth Reddy publicly addressed the issue, promising to replace the Vice Chancellor responsible for the administrative failures.
