The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) in Warangal recently concluded a two-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning." The event took place at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall on the KITS Warangal campus from June 18th to July 1st, 2024. 


The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organized the FDP. The Chief Guest, Sivaprasath Munusamy, a corporate trainer from Pyramid Technologies in Chennai, emphasized the importance of continuous learning, practical application, and collaboration with industries to prepare faculty for the evolving demands of Industry 4.0.



Prof. P. Niranjan, the Head of the CSE Department at KITSW, highlighted the program's role in equipping educators with the latest AI and ML tools and techniques. He noted that this initiative is crucial for keeping faculty updated with recent advancements, enabling them to train students effectively in Industry 4.0 courses.



Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and former MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar congratulated the CSE, CSN, CSM, and IT departments for their efforts in organizing the FDP.


The event saw participation from over 150 engineering faculty members, including Dean Academics Prof. K. Venumadhav, various department heads, and faculty coordinators Dr. Syed Abdul Moeed, Goutham B. Srinivas, and Rajesh, along with Head of PSD & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary.
