Warangal,June 25, 2024: The Warangal District Badminton Tournament for Boys, Girls, Men, and Women concluded today at the Indoor Stadium of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal. Organized by the Warangal District Badminton Association (WDBA) and affiliated with the Badminton Association of Telangana (BAT), the three-day event ran from June 23rd to June 25th.
Vice President of BAT and WDBA General Secretary, Prof. Pingili Ramesh Reddy, along with the Administrative Officer of KITS Warangal, led the proceedings.
Trophies and certificates were distributed to winners in various categories, including men's and women's singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. The chief guest, P. Ravinder Reddy, emphasized the importance of sports in maintaining health and fostering a sound mind. He praised the winners and organizers, underscoring the role of sports in promoting unity and discipline.
Dr. M. Jithendher Reddy, ACP and guest of honor, highlighted the efforts of the Badminton Association in providing facilities for budding players over the past 20 years. He encouraged youth participation in sports to avoid negative influences such as mobile addiction and substance abuse.
Dr. S. Ramesh Kumar, President of WDBA, in his presidential remarks, congratulated the winners and urged them to continue performing dynamically at state and higher-level tournaments. He also announced cash prizes for outstanding players.
Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy concluded the event by stressing the importance of continuous practice and disciplined hard work for success. He announced that a total of 230 players participated in the tournament and that winners will advance to state-level competitions.

- U-13 Boys & Girls: Hyderabad (August 8-11, 2024)
- U-11 Boys & Girls: Nalgonda (September 5-8, 2024)
The event saw the presence of WDBA Treasurer D. Nagakishan, Vice President Dr. N. Mohan Rao, members P. Venkateshwara Rao, Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy, Dr. ATBT Prasad, G. Kishore, Bhaskar, Krishnaveni, Baby Shailaja, Shyam, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, 230 players and their parents, along with numerous sports enthusiasts and spectators.
