Warangal, July 1, 2024: The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal recently concluded a two-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Rapid Prototyping and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis." The event was held at the MCAD Lab on the KITS Warangal campus from June 18 to July 1, 2024.

Organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the FDP aimed to enhance the skills of faculty members in emerging technologies. Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted the significance of the program for faculty and students.

Mr. Dileep, Co-Founder of V-AXIS Learning in Hyderabad, served as the chief guest. He discussed industry-relevant topics such as CFD, 3D printing, IoT, electric vehicle systems, and AI/ML. He emphasized the importance of being industry 4.0 ready through partnerships with industries, continuous learning, and practical application.

Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, in his presidential remarks, noted that the FDP was designed to equip participants with tools and techniques for teaching disruptive technologies, particularly AI and ML. He stated that the outcome of the FDP is that faculty members are now prepared to train students in industry 4.0 courses.

Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer Sir P. Narayana Reddy, and former MLA and KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar praised the Mechanical Engineering Department for successfully completing the FDP.

Key attendees included Dean Academics Prof. K. Venumadhav, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. P. Srikanth, senior professors Prof. K. Sridhar, Prof. K. Rajanarender Reddy, and Prof. U. S. Balraj, as well as faculty coordinators Ch. Karunakar, Dr. G. Srinu, and Dr. E. Ramesh. Over 30 engineering faculty members participated in the program.
